Five Sandals Resorts were named among the 10 best hotels in Jamaica and the Bahamas in the 2014 edition of the US News & World Report’s Best Hotels ranking.
Sandals Negril Beach Resort & Spa, Sandals Royal Plantation, Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa, and Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort & Private Island were recognised among the top 10 best hotels in Jamaica, while Sandals Emerald Bay in Great Exuma, Bahamas was named among the top 10 best hotels in the Bahamas. Sandals Negril, Sandals Royal Plantation and Sandals Whitehouse, along with Sandals Emerald Bay were among this year’s silver badge winners.

10. Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort & Private Island
Sandals Royal Caribbean gives guests a taste of the Far East about 6 miles east of Montego Bay. “These annual rankings identify the best hotels in the USA, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Canada based on an unbiased methodology that combines the prominence of industry accolades a hotel receives along with its reputation among travel experts and guests expressed through online reviews and ratings,” a release from the Sandals said Tuesday. In total, 1,693 US hotels, 271 Caribbean hotels, 342 Mexican hotels, and 223 Canadian hotels were evaluated for the 2014 rankings. Out of 28 luxury hotels, eight made the US News list of the Best Hotels in Jamaica.
